The Dermapen itself is a micro needling device that uses microscopic needles between 0.25mm and 2mm.

The skin appears pink similar to a sunburn and will feel warm. Depending on the depth of treatment performed this redness goes away within few hours or last a couple days.
Most often skin feels dry for a few days post treatment. You will be provided with a healing oil to help your skin heal and soothe during this time.
When having treatment for acne scarring, there can be mild to moderate peeling post treatment.

The treatments can be performed at 4-6 week intervals.
The number of sessions varies from person to person depending on your skin needs and goals. The average number of sessions for anti-aging treatments is 3-6 in a year.
Visible results are generally seen 6-8 weeks following the treatment and improve further over time. A course of DermaPen / derma roller sessions is recommended to achieve optimum results; however skin improvement is noticeable after just one treatment.
The treatment is described as mildly to moderately uncomfortable by our clients. 95% of clients do not need a numbing agent. If one is very sensitive , we recommend applying numbing cream 30 minutes prior to your session. This can be discussed in more detail during your consultation.
